What happens if I go over my plan?
Limits are enforced as a per-day slice with soft overage to 150%, so a spike costs you a day, not your month. You're never auto-billed for a bad deploy — if you consistently need more, you move up a plan on your terms.
Can I switch between cloud and self-host?
It’s the same binary either way. Cloud isn’t open yet — self-host today, and when cloud opens, moving over is a one-line DSN change rather than a migration.
Do I need a card for the cloud trial?
Yes. You add a card when you create your workspace; the first charge is at the end of the 14-day trial, and cancelling from Billing before then means nothing is charged. One trial per person.
Is Okapi open source?
It's self-hosted, not open source. Product data stays on your infrastructure. A periodic license and update check sends only the limited metadata in our published telemetry disclosure, and an offline instance is never degraded below its cached license state.
What happens when a self-host license lapses?
Nothing breaks. The version you have keeps working and never deletes data. Only updates pause until you renew — there's no kill switch.
